Kubernetes Ingress: The Hidden Bottleneck Killing Your Traffic

The cluster was burning red. Pods failed. Requests choked. Every metric screamed one thing: an Ingress resources pain point.

  • Tune keepalive and timeout values for edge traffic.
  • Consolidate routing rules and certificates where possible.
  • Apply predictable resource requests/limits so autoscaling works as intended.

The Ingress is not a side note. It is the choke point or the flow point for your system. Ignore it, and everything else will pay the price.
